Tech4Service Ltd (“Tech4Service”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Tech4Service mobile application (the “App”) and provides computer repair, data recovery and related IT services in and around Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Tech4Service App.

This Privacy Policy applies only to the Tech4Service mobile app (Android) and how it interacts with our systems and communication channels (such as email, SMS, WhatsApp, and our internal CRM).

It does not cover third-party websites, apps, or services that we do not control.

The App is designed to collect only the minimum information needed to book repairs, track tickets, and manage loyalty rewards.

When you use the App, you may provide:

    • Email address (optional, for confirmations and updates)

  • Device & service details

    • Device type (e.g., Laptop / Windows, MacBook, Desktop, External drive, etc.)

    • Brand and model

    • Problem description (free-text description of the issue)

    • Urgency level and preferred contact method

  • Ticket details

    • Ticket number(s) you enter to track a repair

  • Loyalty / rewards information

    • Number of repairs, referrals and reviews associated with your phone (and any loyalty points we assign)

    • Non-sensitive profile details such as name and phone number to link rewards to your account

3.2 Information collected automatically

The App itself collects very limited technical information, such as:

  • Basic device information required for the app to run (e.g., device model, operating system version)

  • Basic error logs if the app crashes, so we can fix bugs

The App does not access:

  • Photos, media, or files on your device

  • Contacts

  • Microphone or camera

  • Precise GPS location

unless you separately choose to send us such information (for example, by attaching a screenshot in an email or WhatsApp chat).


4. How we use your information

We use the information collected via the App to:

  • Book and manage repair and data recovery jobs

    • Create tickets in our internal CRM

    • Contact you to confirm details, provide estimates, and schedule drop-off or pickup

  • Track your ticket status

    • Allow you to see the status and history of your ticket in the App

    • Update you when the status changes (e.g., “Received”, “Diagnosing”, “Waiting for parts”, “Ready for pickup”)

  • Provide loyalty & rewards

    • Track how many repairs, referrals, and reviews you’ve completed

    • Apply loyalty points and rewards (e.g., free cleaning, discounts on labour)

  • Communicate with you

    • Respond to your questions or messages

    • Send you booking confirmations and important updates (via phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email, depending on your preference)

  • Improve our services

    • Fix bugs and improve app performance

    • Understand what features are most useful for customers

We do not use your information for targeted advertising.


5. How we share your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We may share your information only in these situations:

  1. Service providers / infrastructure
    We may store and process data using trusted providers (for example, website hosting, email service, CRM system, or secure backup). These providers are bound by contracts and can only use your data to provide services to Tech4Service.

  2. Communication services
    When you choose to contact us via phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email from inside the App, the App may open:

    • your default phone dialer

    • WhatsApp

    • your SMS app

    • your email app
      with a pre-filled message.
      In those cases, the communication is handled by those third-party apps and their own privacy policies apply.

  3. Legal requirements
    We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our customers and the public.


6. Data storage & retention

  • We store ticket and booking information in our internal systems (for example, our CRM/database).

  • We keep records only as long as needed to:

    • provide services to you,

    • maintain accurate business records,

    • and comply with legal and tax requirements.

When data is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

  • Using secure connections (HTTPS) where applicable

  • Restricting access to systems to authorized staff only

  • Using strong passwords and security practices on our devices and servers
